This morning the clocks were turned forward to British Summer Time. So now the time changes between here and home have returned to normal. Since there's hardly anyone here this weekend, the shuttle to Church wasn't running, so no Homily from Mr. Collins today. I know that's a bit mean, but that's who the priest here reminds me of.
I heard all about the International Banquet today, too. It made me miss UE so much!! I loved the Banquet last year, and the one this year just sounded like so much fun! I kept myself entertained while working in the library watching some of the videos posted of the event, as well as looking through all the photos.
I think, other than all my friends, the one thing I miss most about the Banquet, is the good international food. I'm so tired of bland English food. And bad bland English food, at that. It's true, although you made be told that the refectory food is horrible, you really have no sense of just how bad it is until you're stuck with it day in and day out. Every meal we ask each other where we're going to eat first when we get back home. It changes based on what we're eating, I think. Like, the other day, we were eating the "spaghetti" and all we could think of was Olive Garden. Probably not a good thing to be thinking about when you're eating sub-standard food. I've even been wanting Sodexo! That's how bad it is.
