Did another hike in the morning. It's the one I had to pay 18lbs for since it's done with the college. The trail was honestly pretty easy, although we did have to cross a waterfall on the way back down, which is never easy for me. The views were, of course, beautiful, and the lake we went up to was very nice, as well. Of course, just when I only had about 100 yards or so left, I slipped and bruised my upper thigh. I'm surprised I didn't fall yesterday that hike was so much harder! But I honestly think that I fell so late in the hike because by then my legs were getting closer and closer to feeling like jelly. I mean, I'd done a lot of walking by that point: all day yesterday, and then all morning!
A lot of people went ghyll scrambling today, too, and returned drenched. In some ways I wish I'd gone, just because how many times do you get to climb up a waterfall? On the other hand, I was so exhausted this afternoon, that I really welcomed the time to just sit around and read Jane Eyre, which is the novel were currently tackling in English Novel. We fixed dinner in the hostel kitchen again today, and in the evening we played Midlife Crisis, which is a very interesting board game, especially when you don't have any of the rules, so you kind of make them up as you go. They were logical rules, though.
